ICME 2020

The IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo (ICME) has been the flagship multimedia conference sponsored by four IEEE societies since 2000. It aims at promoting exchange of the latest advances in multimedia technologies, systems, and applications from both the research and development perspectives of the circuits and systems, communications, computer, and signal processing communities. ICME attracts well over 1000 submissions and 500 participants each year, serving as the prime forum for the dissemination of knowledge in the multimedia field. In 2020 again, ICME convenes leading researchers and practitioners to share the latest developments and advances in the discipline. More info

The GTI has received the Best Demo Award at the 2020 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo, which was held fully virtually for the first time on 6-10 July, for its work on FVV Live, a real-time, low-cost, free viewpoint system that lets users visualize a live natural scene from a point of view of their choosing. FVV Live has been fully implemented with consumer electronics and it is simple enough to be transported and set up anywhere in a couple of hours. More info
