IdiPAZ

On March 26, the Grupo de Tratamiento de Imágenes welcomed representatives from the La Paz University Hospital Health Research Institute (idiPAZ) for a visit focused on knowledge exchange and the exploration of technological applications in the socio-health field. The delegation was led by Dr. Quintana, Head of the Advanced Simulation and Clinical Training Unit at IdiPAZ, together with his team of unit specialists.

During the visit, several initiatives in virtual and extended reality (XR) were presented, with a particular focus on the Incluverso project, aimed at promoting the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. This project integrates different intervention modules, including behavioral therapy applications based on systematic desensitization, supervised cognitive training in virtual environments, and immersive e-learning solutions that combine virtual and mixed reality to enable highly interactive remote training processes.

In addition, an immersive tourism solution applied to cultural heritage was showcased, integrating technologies such as volumetric video (FVV), 3D modeling, and virtual reality for the recreation of historical environments.

The visit concluded with a highly positive exchange of ideas, where potential avenues for future collaboration between both entities were identified, reinforcing GTI’s commitment to technological innovation in the social and cultural domains.
