NOKIA at GTI

Last May 24th we had the visit of Nokia XR Lab, leader of the use case 3: Live immersive content production of the European project 5G-RECORDS where GTI is a key partner.

During the visit multiple technology demonstrations of the different projects in which this lab is involved could be enjoyed:

- Project AMATISTA: an immersive music therapy application for elderly patients with cognitive disorders.

- The Owl: an immersive telepresence prototype for hybrid communication

In turn, GTI offered a demonstration of its latest technologies that are being developed within European projects:

- Project TARDIS: Telepresence based on Distributed Reality which combines VR over a 360-degree video of the scene in real time, AR to show events of interest in the virtual scene and enable two-way communication.

- Audiovisual interactive SocialXR environment for immersive communications where users can communicate with other users in a distributed reality environment. In it, each user is watching his body together with volumetric avatar of the other user in a realistic way.
