3rd meeting of the 5G Forum

On March 15, 2024, the 3rd meeting of the 5G Forum was held in Madrid at the EMT (Municipal Transport Company) headquarters. This event marked an important milestone in our journey towards a digitized and connected future.

Narciso García, Professor of the Grupo de Tratamiento de Imágenes of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid presented the exciting UPM-ETSIT 5G/B5G/6G Ecosystem developed and located at the ETS Ingenieros de Telecomunicación of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. This environment, framed within the Digital Transformation Strategy of the City of Madrid, represents a significant leap towards the consolidation of our city as a true Digital Hub of reference.

The 5G Forum is not only a place for exchanging ideas and collaborating on projects; It is also a space where innovation is fostered and collaboration is promoted among the different players in the digital ecosystem. The Madrid 5G Agenda seeks to facilitate innovative deployments in the city and promote collaboration between different actors to meet the demands of municipal services, especially in critical areas such as sustainable mobility, traffic management, and public safety.

These 5G Forum meetings are crucial to share experiences, establish new alliances, and define the steps to follow on the path to mass adoption of 5G technology. With the participation of multidisciplinary researchers, operators, companies in the sector, and municipal areas, we are building together the digital future of Madrid.
