Ficosa (2024):
The FNTVD dataset has been generated using the Ficosa's recording car.
MATDAT (2023):  More than 90K labeled images of martial arts tricking.
SEAW – DATASET (2022): 3 stereoscopic contents in 4K resolution at 30 fps.

Narciso García

Last Friday, we experienced a very special evening at the Grupo de Tratatmiento de Imágenes. We gathered to pay tribute to Narciso García, professor and founder of our research group… and now, "officially retired". It was a dinner filled with emotion, memories, and above all, gratitude.

Narciso has not only been an academic and scientific benchmark in the field of digital image and video processing. He has also been the driving force behind the creation and growth of GTI—a group that today leads in technologies such as immersive communication, real-time computer vision, and XR applications (VR, AR, MR).

But beyond innovation and research, Narciso has left a deep mark on people. His generosity, passion for teaching, and commitment to excellence have inspired generations of researchers.

Thank you, Narciso, for sowing so much and so well. This tribute to your retirement is just a small reflection of the enormous impact you’ve had on all of us.
