Adaptive Video Transmission (DASH)

Development of algorithms for the selection of the optimal downstream quality given the environment.

- Coding of the media content in several bitrates/resolutions for delivery to different devices (STB, PC, Tablets, Phones, etc.).

- Segmentation of each representation into small chunks (typically 2 or 10 seconds).

- The video files are published over the Network like any other HTTP file for delivery on the Internet.

ADAPTIVE STREAMING CLIENT

Intelligence in client

Client dynamically selects the optmal quality segment according to environment conditions.
